Video: Paul Merson Can’t Hide Anger at Crystal Palace Disallowed Goal v Liverpool

Paul Merson couldn’t hide his anger at Crystal Palace having a goal disallowed against Liverpool this afternoon.

The former Arsenal midfielder was watching that game on Gillette Soccer Saturday earlier as Jurgen Klopp’s men travelled to Selhurst Park.

There was controversy in the first half when James Tomkins headed home to give Palace what they thought was an opening goal.

The referee awarded the goal, but it was soon to be disallowed due to a push by Jordan Ayew on Dejan Lovren.

According to Merson, that was the wrong decision and he couldn’t hide that while calling the game on Sky Sports:

Somehow we don’t think Liverpool fans will be very happy with Merson’s reaction – like Phil Thompson.

You can hear the former Liverpool player and coach disagreeing with his punditry pal in the background and that will no doubt be an opinion shared by many supporters.

Liverpool now lead the game 1-0 thanks to Sadio Mane’s goal and are heading for a 10-point lead at the top of the English Premier League.
