Greek Media Claim Celtic Are Scouting Panathinaikos Midfielder Giannis Bouzoukis

Celtic are scouting Panathinaikos midfielder Giannis Bouzoukis, according to reports in Greece this week.

The 21-year-old has five caps and one goal for Greece’s Under-21 side, and has played for the Greek Super League giants so far this season.

According to Greek media outlet SDNA, Hoops head of recruitment Nicky Hammond has sent scouts to watch Bouzoukis on several occasions, with the youngster thought to be highly-rated within the Panathinaikos set-up.

Of course, Celtic are already pretty well-stocked in the midfield area, and the £3 million transfer saga for Motherwell’s David Turnbull could be reignited by the Parkhead club if he can prove his fitness after returning from a knee injury.

Moreover, the versatile Nir Bitton has also just signed a new contract extension with Neil Lennon’s side – but what do you think of the link?

Would you welcome reinforcements in the middle of the park?
