Jeremie Frimpong Describes Scoring His First-Ever Goal at Celtic Park

Celtic right-back Jeremie Frimpong has described scoring his first-ever goal at Parkhead, following today’s 2-0 win over Hibs.

The defender, 18, only moved to Glasgow in September after a £300,000 transfer from Manchester City’s youth academy and not too much was expected of the youngster during his first year in Scottish football.

However, Frimpong has quickly developed into one of Neil Lennon’s most important players of late, and his popularity grew even more this afternoon after slamming home his first goal in-front of the Hoops home support.

Frimpong has already scored as a Celtic player, in October’s 4-0 win away at Aberdeen, but clearly finding the net at home was a special moment for the likeable teenager:

It’s hard to believe that back in August Celtic were struggling to find an adequate right-back in their ranks, and now they seem to have one of the most popular right backs they’ve had in a long, long time.

How highly do you rate Frimpong?
