The Frenchman missed Thursday’s 3-1 Europa League win over Rennes, with Lennon saying he was suffering from a ‘niggle’, and the 21-year-old still wasn’t fit for this afternoon’s 4-1 victory over Ross County at Dingwall.
The Hoops won the Premiership clash in the Highlands thanks to a double from Ryan Christie, as well as a goal each from Tom Rogic and Mikey Johnston and, by the sounds of it, Lennon’s side might go into the biggest match of their season so far relying on others to fill in for Edouard.
Speaking after the full-time whistle today, Lennon was asked if Edouard will be fit for next Sunday’s showdown, via BBC Scotland, and he explained: “I can’t pinpoint when he’ll be back.
“We have to soldier on without him at the minute and we’ll see how he is as the week goes on.
“We’re taking it day by day.
“Obviously we have Griffiths as well almost fully fit.
“So that will be a welcome boost to the squad when he’s up to full speed.”
Lewis Morgan has filled-in as a makeshift striker for the last two games, and has actually performed pretty well as an out-and-out forward – but is the 23-year-old former St. Mirren man good enough to start such a monumental game against Rangers at Hampden?
If Edouard doesn’t make it, who would you select?
