Neil Lennon Salutes ‘Inspirational’ Scott Brown After ‘Huge Goal’ Against Hamilton

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has paid tribute to ‘inspiration’ Scott Brown, and insisted the midfielder is still a ‘brilliant player’ for the Parkhead club.

The Hoops needed a 91st-minute winner from Brown at home to Hamilton Accies on Wednesday night in order to make it 11 consecutive victories in all competitions – and in order to take a two-point lead at the top of the Premiership over Rangers, who drew 2-2 at Aberdeen.

Brown’s winning goal was made even more dramatic by the fact Hamilton had only just equalised in the 90th minute, and of course because Rangers had also dropped points, and Lennon wasn’t shy in holding back when he spoke to the media after the full-time whistle:

Brown, who is now 34, has now scored an impressive four goals in his last seven matches – and would you bet against him finding the net again against Rangers on Sunday afternoon?

What do you think?
