Neil Lennon Says Just Watching Jeremie Frimpong Play Makes Him Tired

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has lavished praise on Jeremie Frimpong, following the defender’s first goal at Parkhead this afternoon.

The 19-year-old right-back only moved to Glasgow from Manchester City’s youth academy back in September for a nominal fee of around £300,000 but he’s already developed into one of the Hoops’ most important players.

Frimpong’s perfectly-timed tackles and lung-bursting runs have helped cement him as one of Celtic’s most popular players at the moment, and it looks like he’s trying to add goals to his game too after his strike in today’s 2-0 win over Hibs.

After the full-time whistle, his manager addressed the assembled media, and was nothing short of effusive in his praise of the impressive teenager’s latest performance, and his overall contribution to the club:

Of course, he’s a defender, but how important do you think Frimpong will be in Celtic’s quest for trophies in the coming months?
