Sir Rod Stewart Sends Congratulations to Rangers Before Addressing Alfredo Morelos

Sir Rod Stewart has sent his congratulations to Rangers before addressing Alfredo Morelos for his red card in today’s game against Celtic.

The musician is a well-known Celtic supporter so would have been watching on as the two Glasgow teams met at Celtic Park.

Rangers emerged as 2-1 winners thanks to goals from Ryan Kent and Nikola Katic, with Odsonne Edouard getting Celtic’s only goal of the game.

There was a flash point just before the full-time whistle when referee Kevin Clancy booked Morelos for a dive in the box – leading to a red card.

And Stewart chose to focus on that after congratulating Rangers as he took to Twitter post-match:

The red card means Morelos will now miss Rangers’ next game against St Mirren in the Ladbrokes Premiership.

Gerrard’s side are now two points off Celtic at the top of the table, but have a game in hand that will give them a one-point advantage if they win.
