Video: Chelsea Midfielder Ethan Ampadu Gets His First-Ever Haircut

Promising Chelsea midfielder Ethan Ampadu has given himself an early Christmas present – by paying for his first-ever haircut.

Despite only being 19, Ampadu has developed into one of Wales’s most important players, and played a key part in helping Ryan Giggs and his players qualify for Euro 2020 – with his flowing locks of hair his visible trademark.

But it seems Ampadu reckoned it was time for a change of style as he enlisted the help of famous barber Sheldon Edwards, aka HD Cutz, whose previous clients include the likes of Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez, Olivier Giroud, Gabriel Jesus, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Thierry Henry and Usain Bolt.

As you can see, the finished snip is definitely a pretty big departure from Ampadu’s old look:

Currently on-loan at RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, Ampadu seems to have a big future ahead of him – but has he made a mistake by getting rid of his signature barnet?
