Video: Neil Lennon Reveals Some of His Celtic Players Cried Tears of Relief after Rangers Cup Final Victory

Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed some of his players were so relieved to beat Rangers yesterday that they ended up in tears in the Hampden dressing room.

The Hoops secured their tenth consecutive domestic trophy at the national stadium yesterday by defeating their arch rivals 1-0 in a dramatic encounter, with Christopher Jullien scoring with his side’s only effort on target in the entire 90 minutes.

As we told you at the time, Celtic were forced to rely on a man of the match display from goalkeeper Fraser Forster, who saved a string of Alfredo Morelos efforts, and Lennon has revealed just how much severe stress some of his squad were under going into the clash:

Celtic will now face CFR Cluj in their final Europa League group stage tie, before hosting Hibernian on Sunday afternoon – and they’ll soon be preparing for another mouthwatering showdown with Rangers, with Steven Gerrard’s men due to visit in the Premiership on December 29.

What do you think of Lennon’s comments?
