Video: Steven Gerrard Singles Out Greg Stewart for Praise After Hearts Victory

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has singled-out Greg Stewart for significant praise following this afternoon’s thrashing of Hearts at Ibrox.

Midfielder Stewart was left on the bench for this afternoon’s Premiership clash but Gerrard has revealed the 29-year-old was very close to landing a starting berth, and he certainly didn’t do himself any harm when he eventually took to the field.

The ex-Aberdeen and Kilmarnock play-maker scored twice to help the Gers secure a crushing 5-0 win over their opponents and it seems Stewart could be called upon again in the coming weeks, with some pretty big games in the offing:

Today was Stewart’s first appearance since the 2-0 win over Livingston last month, but could he be in line to perhaps even start either of the upcoming matches against either Aberdeen or Celtic?
