Rangers captain James Tavernier admits he’s ‘devastated’ following today’s Betfred Cup Final defeat to Celtic – but insisted he and his team-mates outplayed their bitter rivals ‘in every department’.

The Ibrox side were made to pay for missing several golden opportunities at Hampden this afternoon, with Alfredo Morelos spurning the best of them, including a 64th minute penalty.

In the end, Christopher Jullien’s close-range finish was the only goal of the contest, and transpired to be the only shot on target Neil Lennon’s side could muster throughout the entire 90 minutes.

After the full-time whistle, an obviously dejected Tavernier spoke to Rangers TV, and attempted to try and salvage some positives from an otherwise crushing defeat:

Do you think Rangers outplayed Celtic in every area today, and which of the Glasgow giants do you think will come out on top in the race for the Premiership title?
