Mourinho’s Tottenham hosted Frank Lampard’s youthful and exuberant Chelsea side at the new White Hart Lane, with the Special One keen to stick the boot into the club who’ve sacked him twice previously in his glittering managerial career.
During his second stint as Chelsea boss, Mourinho relied heavily on Willian, and tried to sign the Brazilian winger when he was Manchester United boss, and it was easy to see why Mourinho rates the 31-year-old so highly just 12 minutes into today’s contest:
Intriguingly, Willian is actually out of contract at the end of the current campaign, so it’s always possible that he could end up working with Mourinho once again after all.
