The Scotland international is currently in Dubai with the rest of the Celtic squad for warm-weather training during the Premiership’s winter break.
However, a disciplinary hearing took place in his absence this afternoon at Hampden, according to Sky Sports, where Christie was found guilty of violent conduct during his side’s 2-1 defeat on December 29.
Christie suffered a groin injury during the game, and is likely to be out for an extended period of time anyway, but the fact he’s been officially banned for the Scottish Cup tie with Partick Thistle and the league clash with Kilmarnock hasn’t gone down well with Celtic supporters:
Do you think Christie deserved to be found guilty?
And what do you think of the reaction?
