Former Colombia Manager Wants Barcelona to Sign Alfredo Morelos

Jorge Luis Pinto wants Barcelona to replace Luis Suarez with Alfredo Morelos.

Pinto is well known in South America after spells managing a number of nations and top clubs.

He’s managed his country Colombia as well as Honduras and Costa Rica, while also having spells in charge of club sides Deportivo Cali, Millonarios and El Nacional among others.

And now he’ll be known by Scottish football fans after making this bold statement.

Suarez is set to miss the next four months of action for Barcelona after suffering a knee injury – and that could mean the Spanish club replace him with a new signing this month.

As for who that signing would be, Pinto has tipped Rangers striker Morelos for the move.

Per The Daily Record, Pinto said: “Alfredo Morelos would be the ideal striker to replace Luis Suarez for me.

“Why not? His performances in the last year certainly suggests that he could replace him. He has been a battering ram at Rangers.

“I’ve got huge admiration for what Alfredo has achieved so far in European football and he’s still young.”

But would Barcelona be interested in Morelos?
