A Lot of Hibs Fans Are Hoping Efe Ambrose Returns to Easter Road This Month

Plenty of Hibs supporters are hoping manager Jack Ross can orchestrate a move to bring back Efe Ambrose before the January transfer window slams shut.

The 31-year-old centre-back is currently without a club after signing for then Derby County boss Frank Lampard, although Ambrose failed to make any appearances for the Rams in the English Championship.

The Nigeria international was recently linked with a move to Gary Holt’s Livingston by the Daily Record, but given he’s already enjoyed a two-year loan spell at Easter Road and become a fans’ favourite, a lot of Hibees have their fingers crossed that he can be persuaded to come back:

Of course, Ambrose also has further experience of Scottish football after spending five years at Celtic between 2012 and 2017, but do you think he’s a Jack Ross type of player?

And could the Hibs budget be stretched far enough to bring him back to Leith?
