Ismaila Soro will reportedly play just one more game for Israeli side Bnei Yehuda, tonight, before officially completing his eagerly anticipated move to Celtic.
The 21-year-old Ivory Coast midfielder has been linked with a £2 million move to the Scottish champions for most of this week, with Sky Sports reporting that Neil Lennon’s side faced stiff competition from Belgian side Genk for Soro’s signature.
But it looks like the Hoops have won the race to sign the play-maker, who the Sun are reporting will soon touch down in Glasgow to sign a long-term contract – but only before playing one more match for his current club.
Bnei Yehuda are playing Hapoel Afula in the Israeli State Cup at 5:15 UK time this evening, and could reach the last-four of the competition if they win – but will need to end a run of five defeats in their last six matches to do so.
Celtic have been known to be in the market for reinforcements following their 2-1 defeat at home to arch enemies Rangers on December 29, and have already completed the signing of striker Patryk Klimala.
But what do you think of the impending arrival of Soro, if these reports are correct?
