Liverpool Fans Firmly Back Jurgen Klopp’s Decision to Field Weakened Team Against Rivals Everton

Liverpool fielded an extremely weakened side against Merseyside rivals Everton this evening in the FA Cup – and Jurgen Klopp‘s selection has been firmly backed by the club’s supporters.

Liverpool v Everton is one of English football’s classic fixtures, and was the standout tie when the third round draw was made last month.

But, having just returned from playing in the Club World Cup in Qatar, and with a 13-point lead in the Premier League to protect, Klopp opted to field a team essentially made-up of back-ups for this afternoon’s clash at Anfield.

With the likes of teenagers Harvey Elliot and Nico Williams included from the start, and the likes of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino nowhere to be seen, Klopp certainly wasn’t taking the opposition into account – and there’s plenty of Reds who are on-board with his decisions:

Should Klopp and his coaching team have paid more attention to the fact that today’s game was against Everton, or has he selected the correct squad?
