Liverpool v Everton is one of English football’s classic fixtures, and was the standout tie when the third round draw was made last month.
But, having just returned from playing in the Club World Cup in Qatar, and with a 13-point lead in the Premier League to protect, Klopp opted to field a team essentially made-up of back-ups for this afternoon’s clash at Anfield.

Should Klopp and his coaching team have paid more attention to the fact that today’s game was against Everton, or has he selected the correct squad?
