Polish striker Patryk Klimala is on the brink of a move to Celtic – according to reports in his homeland this afternoon.
Hoops boss Neil Lennon is known to be in the market for a new striker during the current transfer window, with Odsonne Edouard needing some back-up, and Leigh Griffiths and Vakoun Bayo failing to fill the void.
The Scottish Champions have been linked with several different options since New Year’s Day, including Brighton veteran Glenn Murray, but now it seems Lennon and the Celtic hierarchy are closing in on their man.
Respected Polish sports journalist Krzysztof Stanowski has reported that Klimala will undergo a medical on Monday, ahead of a €4 million transfer to Glasgow from his current club Jagiellonia Bialystok:
Celtic might finally be adding a striker to their ranks – but at the age of just 21, do you think Klimala will turn out to be the proven, ready-made forward required to help secure nine-in-a-row?
