Rangers duo Jamie Murphy and Greg Docherty are on the verge of sealing moves down south this evening, with both apparently heading to England’s League One.
Murphy, now 30, has endured a nightmare with several different injuries ever since arriving at Ibrox from Brighton in January 2018, and is now looking to get some games under his belt now that he’s fully fit again.
The Scotland international has made just two senior appearances for the Gers this season, the last of which came in the 4-0 Premiership win away to Ross County on October 30.
According to the Daily Record, he’s set to join Burton Albion on-loan until the end of the campaign, where he’ll be reunited with former manager Nigel Clough, whom he worked with previously at Sheffield United.
Docherty, meanwhile, is said to be on the verge of a move to promotion-chasing Sunderland, according to the Newcastle Chronicle.
Docherty has managed just five senior appearances for Steven Gerrard’s side this season, the last of which came all the way back in August against East Fife in the Betfred Cup.
What do you think of both players’ impending moves, and do you think either, or both, still have a serious future at Rangers?
