Rangers Fans React with Shock and Horror to the Mere Mention of Possibly Signing Scott Allan

Social media has been its usual crazy self this afternoon after Rangers fans began to speculate that Scott Allan might be a transfer target for Steven Gerrard – with most reacting with shock and horror.

The 27-year-old playmaker has been in decent form for Hibs this season, despite the Edinburgh club’s up-and-down spells on the pitch, and it seems someone somewhere along the line has put two and two together and come up with five.

Nobody can seem to verify the source of the rumours, but Gers supporters have been reacting to the notion that Allan could possibly sign having shunned them to join Celtic in the summer of 2015 with what can only be described as varying degrees of outrage:

The Daily Record are reporting that the Ibrox club are NOT looking to make any sort of move for Allan at the present time, and nor do they have any plans to do so.

But you can’t beat a wild transfer story to start off your week, eh?

For the record, do you think – purely in footballing terms – Allan could do a job at Rangers?
