Video: Jason Cummings Emphatically Insists Playing in an Old Firm Game Tops Playing at Anfield

Jason Cummings says he’s looking forward to the chance of taking a crack at Liverpool inside Anfield – but insists it won’t lay a glove on turning out in an Old Firm Derby.

The former Hibs and Rangers striker, now with Sherwsbury Town in England’s League One, took the European and World Champions by storm in last night’s FA Cup fourth-round tie by scoring twice after coming on as a second-half substitute, with his goals earning the Shrews a replay inside one of football’s most iconic cathedrals.

However, whilst taking to the field against the six-time Champions League winners will be an experience to relish, Cummings reckons it won’t top the feeling of chucking yourself head-first into the white-hot atmosphere of Glasgow’s most famous rivalry:

Following yesterday’s 2-2 draw, Cummings and Shrewsbury will get their second crack at Liverpool on Tuesday February 4 – and who’d bet against the striker known as ‘Cumdog’ to bag another goal in front of the Kop?
