Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has accepted fans’ frustrations during Wednesday night’s win over St Mirren – but insisted he’s over the moon with the 1-0 victory.

Jermain Defoe scored the only goal of the match on 34 minutes to seal another three points for Gerrard’s side, although some supporters might’ve been disappointed not to see a second or third goal at home to the relegation-threatened Buddies.

However, Gerrard was keen to remind everyone of the importance of three points, before going on to praise Defoe’s predatory instincts and his calmness in front of goal:

Next up for Gerrard and Rangers is a trip to Tynecastle to face Hearts, who look somewhat rejuvenated under Daniel Stendel, and are unbeaten in their opening two games after the winter break.

With Alfredo Morelos still suspended, will Rangers go on to collect all three points in Edinburgh this coming Sunday?
