Jamie Murphy scored one and set up another in Burton Albion‘s draw with Wimbledon last night.
The Scottish winger made a loan switch from Rangers last week in search of first team football.
And that’s what he’s going to get with the English League One outfit.
Murphy started the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Accrington Stanley and followed it up with another start against Wimbledon last night.
The former Brighton man looked back to his best with a goal and an assist in the draw – showing Burton fans what he’s all about and reminding Rangers supporters of his quality:
Murphy had made two appearances for Rangers after returning from a serious knee injury this season, but he’s down the pecking order under Steven Gerrard and his loan at Burton will give him the regular game time he couldn’t get at Ibrox.
Burton currently sit 10th in League One and will fancy their chances of breaking into the play-off spots with quality like Murphy in their squad.
