Video: Neil Lennon Delivers Positive Injury Update on Jeremie Frimpong

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has given a positive update on Jeremie Frimpong following the full-back’s painful-looking leg injury.

The Hoops defender started Wednesday night’s 3-1 Premiership win away to Kilmarnock and played a part in two of his team’s goals, with Odsonne Edouard, Leigh Griffiths and Christopher Jullien sealing the victory.

However, with just a few minutes remaining, Frimpong had to be carried off on a stretcher and looked in some real discomfort following a heavy tackle from Killie midfielder Alan Power.

Frimpong was laid on the Rugby Park turf for several minutes, and his agonising expressions probably had plenty of Celtic fans fearing the worst but, thankfully, Lennon said in his post-match interview with Sky Sports that it doesn’t look like a fracture and might just be some severe bruising:

If Frimpong is out for a prolonged period of time, how big a blow would it be to Celtic’s title challenge?
