Neil Lennon shared his happiness following Celtic‘s 2-1 win over Partick Thistle this evening.
The Hoops manager named a strong side for the trip to the Ladbrokes Championship side at Firhill.
And they were able to get the win to advance to the last 16 of the Scottish Cup.
Lennon made a big decision to change his formation and go with both Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard up front.
It paid off, as both were influential on the night – with Griffiths scoring and Edouard proving a constant danger to the Jags defence.
For the first game of 2020, it was job done for Celtic – and Lennon summed that up in his post-match press conference:
Celtic now move on to Premiership duty on Wednesday night when they face Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.
They still lead the table over Rangers by one point, but their Glasgow rivals have a game in hand.
So it’s pivotal Celtic keep winning and keep the pressure on in the title race.
