Video: Patrice Evra Reveals Liverpool Sent Him Letter Apologising for the Luis Suarez Racism Affair

Patrice Evra has revealed Liverpool have contacted him to offer an apology for how they handled the Luis Suarez racism affair nine years ago.

Back in 2011, Suarez was handed an eight-game ban for racially abusing Evra, then of Manchester United, during a Premier League game at Anfield and a day later Liverpool players wore ‘Suarez 7’ T-shirts in their warm-up before a fixture at Wigan.

The Reds were criticised by certain pundits and media outlets for their handling of the saga at the time and when Evra appeared alongside Jamie Carragher on Monday Night Football in October, the Liverpool legend apologised and admitted it was a ‘massive mistake’.

Now it seems the Liverpool hierarchy have followed suit, with Evra revealing he’s received a personal letter of apology from the Merseyside club’s CEO Peter Moore:

It might be late in arriving, but what do you think of Liverpool’s apology?
