Stuart Armstrong continued to endear himself to Southampton supporters tonight by scoring an absolute belter of a goal away to Crystal Palace.
The Scotland international was forced to spend a large chunk of last season on the subs bench after joining Saints from Celtic in a £7 million deal in the summer of 2018.
But under the tutelage of new manager Ralph Hassenhuttle, Armstrong has blossomed into one of the south coast club’s most important players this season – and it seems every time he scores it’s nothing short of a bona fide screamer:
That’s only Armstrong’s second club goal of the campaign but his battling displays in the middle of the park has already won him plenty of fans down south, as we’ve told you previously.
Given Scotland have several important players in midfield injured at the minute, should Armstrong be given the responsibility of starting the Euro 2020 playoff against Israel in March?
