The Blues have been somewhat starved of big-money transfers of late after enduring a transfer ban last summer and failing to land any of their high-profile targets in the January transfer window but, according to reports emanating from the Netherlands today, Frank Lampard could be about to pull off something of a transfer coup.
The usually reliable Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf claim that Chelsea have won the battle for the highly-rated Ziyech, 26, for a fee worth around £38m.
The Morocco international caught the eye of scouts all across Europe last season as his jet-heeled displays helped Ajax surprisingly reach the last-four of the Champions League, and it seems he could be about to strut his stuff in the Premier League – much to the delight of this lot:
