Frank Lampard Shares Bad News On N’Golo Kante’s Injury Status

Frank Lampard has shared some bad news on N’Golo Kante’s injury status.

The Chelsea manager was disappointed as he faced the media following his side’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester United in the English Premier League.

They played well in the game and will feel aggrieved that they didn’t manage to take any points from the match.

And there was more disappointment for Lampard as Kante limped out of the game after just 12 minutes.

Speaking after the game, Lampard revealed the early prognosis on Kante – and it isn’t good news for Chelsea fans.

Per chelseafc.com, Lampard said: “It’s an abductor injury. We’ll have to assess it, scan it, but it doesn’t look great.”

Chelsea currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, just one point ahead of Tottenham and nine behind Leicester City in third.

So injuries are not what Lampard needs going into a really important end of the season.

Kante has played 21 times for Chelsea this season and hasn’t always been a regular starter for Lampard, but it’s one less option for the manager to pick if he ends up injured long term.
