Gary Neville Suggests He’ll Stay Off Sky Sports When Liverpool Win the Title

Gary Neville has hinted he’s more than happy to avoid being on-air for Sky Sports when Liverpool eventually lift their long-awaited Premier League title.

The Manchester United legend has been forced to cover plenty of Liverpool’s matches this season as Jurgen Klopp’s side romped towards their first top-flight championship in 30 years, but it seems Neville isn’t too keen on staying for the finale.

The Anfield club could potentially wrap-up their title in mathematical terms as early as March 16 if Man City drop any more points, but Klopp and his players will be forced to wait until the final home match of the season against Chelsea before receiving their trophy.

When told to stay away from his usual role as one of Sky’s chief football pundits on that day, the eight-time Premier League winner seemed more than happy to oblige:

Whilst we’re sure most Liverpool fans won’t care a jot what Neville’s doing on their trophy day, surely there’s some supporters who’d love to have him suffering inside Anfield that afternoon, no?
