Jack Hendry May Be Heading Back to Celtic From Melbourne City After Two Weeks

Jack Hendry could be on his way back to Celtic just two weeks after joining Melbourne City on loan.

The Scottish centre back made the move to Australia on January 22nd, joining the Melbourne club on a deal that runs until the end of the A-League season.

He made his debut against Perth Glory last week, helping his side get a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw.

And Hendry made his second appearance this morning, failing to stop his side lose 3-1 to Adelaide United.

Unfortunately for Hendry, he was involved in a clash with seconds of the game to go and he clearly caught his knee in the turf.

Now, it turns out he may have picked up a serious injury, per AAP’s Steve Larkin:

If that proves to be the case, it could mean a return to Celtic for Hendry and his recovery being done at the Parkhead club.

Hendry made just one appearance for Celtic in the first half of the season, appearing for 11 minutes at the end of a 5-0 win over Partick Thistle in September.
