Henrik Larsson and Ally McCoist Send Classy Get Well Soon Messages to Celtic Legend Jackie McNamara

Henrik Larsson and Ally McCoist are just some of the leading names in the football fraternity who have sent their best wishes to Celtic legend Jackie McNamara.

According to the Daily Record, former Hoops captain McNamara has undergone emergency surgery after collapsing at home following a bleed on the brain, and continues to recover in hospital.

The 46-year-old is one of the few footballers who won respect from supporters on both sides of the Old Firm divide during his playing days thanks to his lung-bursting runs and committed displays, and news of his illness has left fans deeply upset.

McNamara’s former Celtic team-mate Larsson and Rangers idol McCoist have both taken to Instagram to wish their pal all the best, whilst Jackie’s daughter provided a family update via social media:

As well as winning 33 caps for Scotland, McNamara won four Premiership titles during his time at Parkhead, including the 1998 title which crucially stopped Rangers from winning 10-in-a-row.

Get well soon, Jackie.
