Peter Schmeichel has heaped praise on Celtic fans for their behaviour in Copenhagen.
The Danish goalkeeping legend was made aware of the Hoops supporters’ conduct in the city when the official police Twitter account thanked them last night.
That came after Celtic’s 1-1 draw against Copenhagen in the first leg of their Europa League last-32 clash.
Odsonne Edouard’s goal gave Celtic the dream start in the first half, but they were unable to build on that and ended up pegged back by Dame N’Doye’s equaliser.
An away goal could prove to be vital by the end of next week’s second leg in Glasgow – so it was a decent visit to the Danish capital for Neil Lennon, his team and the Hoops supporters.
They had no reason not to enjoy the visit – and that was reflected in the behaviour the police and now Schmeichel have been complimentary of:
Schmeichel just gained a few thousand new followers with that tweet.
