Plenty of Rangers Fans Are Seriously Questioning Connor Goldson’s Role After Defeat at Kilmarnock

Rangers‘ Premiership title challenge has been left hanging by a thread following Wednesday night’s defeat by Kilmarnock – and plenty of the club’s supporters are starting to question Connor Goldson.

The English defender has been ever-present during Steven Gerrard’s reign as Gers boss, and has firmly nailed down his spot as the club’s first-choice centre-half, with the likes of Nikola Katic, Filip Helander and George Edmundson regularly rotated as his partner.

But Goldson was badly exposed for Killie’s winner in the 2-1 loss as Eamon Brophy raced away from him, and Steven Gerrard described his team’s defending for the second goal as ‘schoolboy’ as he spoke to the media after the full-time whistle.

For the first time since moving to Ibrox from Brighton in the summer of 2018, it seems there’s a lot of Rangers fans who reckon it could be time for Goldson to be dropped:
