
We asked Rangers fans on social media who they want to face in the draw for the last-16 of the Europa League.
Steven Gerrard’s men beat Braga 1-0 in Portugal last night to secure a 4-2 aggregate victory in their last-32 tie.
And that means they are the first team into the last-16 draw, which will take place on Friday.
They obviously don’t know exactly who will be in the draw as the remaining 30 teams in the competition don’t play until later tonight.
But Rangers fans are in a position to dream about who they want.
And the results are interesting:
So the tie between Austrian side LASK and Dutch outfit AZ Alkmaar will be interesting plenty of Rangers fans tonight.
There are some notable clubs still left in the competition, including Manchester United, Arsenal, Roma, Inter Milan and Ajax – but it’s not a guarantee all will advance.
Rangers are into the last-16 after advancing with Porto from their group.
They were losing 2-0 to Braga in the first leg at Ibrox a week ago, but managed a memorable three-goal comeback to win that game.
And last night’s hard-fought 1-0 victory showed Rangers are a force to be reckoned with in the knockout stages.
