Steven Gerrard has given a positive update on Borna Barisic’s fitness for Rangers’ Europa League clash with Sporting Braga.
The Ibrox manager faced the media this afternoon ahead of his side’s last-32 clash tomorrow night.
And among the more important questions he was asked was about the fitness of the Croatian left-back.
Barisic hasn’t played the last two games after limping out of Rangers’ 4-1 win over Hamilton on February 8th with a hip injury.
But he’s back training now and Gerrard insists he’s in line for a return against Braga tomorrow:
Will Gerrard trust Barisic to start after missing the last two games or will he instead go for either Jon Flanagan or Andy Halliday?
Rangers have yet to find their best form in 2020 and that may have something to do with injuries to James Tavernier and Barisic – who are both very influential to the way they play.
Rangers fans – do you see Barisic starting?
