Celtic boss Neil Lennon has described his team as ‘simply irresistible’ after this afternoon’s 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock – a result which leaves the Parkhead 12 points clear at the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership.
Following Rangers’ 2-2 draw at St Johnstone in this afternoon’s early kick-off, Celtic were left with the opportunity to stretch their lead at the top of the table, but were 1-0 down after just six minutes following Eamon Brophy’s penalty.
However, goals from Kristoffer Ajer, Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths turned things around, and sealed a 3-1 victory.
Speaking to the media after the full-time whistle, Lennon was full of praise for his player – but insisted any talk of retaining their title is a touch too soon:
What do you think of Celtic’s current run of form, and will they progress to the last-16 of the Europa League on Thursday night at home against Copenhagen?
