Celtic manager Neil Lennon has warned Leigh Griffiths about his temper following the striker’s altercation with Hamilton’s Sam Woods this afternoon.
Griffiths was shown a yellow card for his part in a small melee with Woods and Hamilton midfielder Alex Gogic, with some fans claiming there had been a stamp by the Hoops forward.
And whilst Lennon insisted the incident didn’t warrant a red card, he did have several stern words for his player following the 4-1 victory, and reminded Griffiths just how important he considers discipline within his squad:
Celtic’s win means they are now seven points clear at the top of the Ladbrokes Premiership, albeit with second-placed Rangers having played one game fewer than their bitter Glasgow rivals.
But do you think Griffiths was lucky not to be dismissed for his altercation? Do you think he was guilty of a stamp on Woods?
