Video: Spurs Fans Furious with Raheem Sterling for ‘Leg-Breaker’ Tackle on Alli

Spurs fans reckon Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling was extremely fortunate not to be sent off in the Premier League clash between the two sides today.

The two England internationals clashed just outside the Tottenham penalty area early in this afternoon’s blockbuster fixture inside the North London club’s plush new state-of-the-art stadium, with referee Mike Dean very close to the incident.

After Sterling’s tackle, Dean quickly brandished a yellow card but plenty of Spurs supporters watching at home had the benefit of watching several replays – none of which showed the challenge in a particularly forgiving light:

As you can probably imagine, the reaction to the tackle was pretty strong on social media, with some absolutely furious at the lack of a red card:

Do you think Sterling deserved to receive his marching orders, and was there any malicious intent in his actions?
