Jane O’Toole is hard as nails – and showed as much with her reaction to dislocating her kneecap last weekend.

The St Mirren women’s team captain suffered the injury while playing against Inverness on Sunday.

And Inverness’ media team caught the incident on camera.

It shows O’Toole falling to the ground before realising she’d dislocated her kneecap.

What happens next is amazing:

Amazingly, O’Toole came back on for St Mirren to help them until the full-time whistle.

How many other players would have signalled for a stretcher straight away and been carted off the pitch straight to hospital? A lot.

It wasn’t a great day for the rest of her teammates either as they went down 7-0 losers to Inverness in the Highlands.
