Steven Gerrard has admitted he’s not ‘shocked or surprised’ by his Rangers side dropping points away to St Johnstone on Sunday afternoon.

The Ibrox club fell behind to Callum Hendry’s cool early opener but rallied in the second-half, and soon hit back through a brilliant Florian Kamberi strike.

Kamberi then excellently set-up Joe Aribo to make it 2-1, but Rangers’ defensive problems continued, and Stevie May equalised late on the Saints a crucial 2-2 draw.

The result means Rangers could fall as many as 12 points behind bitter rivals Celtic by the end of today and, as you’d expect, Gerrard was far from happy as he spoke to Sky Sports after the full-time whistle:

Where do you think this leaves Rangers’ title challenge?

And if he and his players finish this season a distant second in the Ladbrokes Premiership, where will that leave Gerrard’s job security?
