Tim Sherwood insists he wouldn’t listen to a throw-in coach if he was a player at a club who employed one.
The former Tottenham and Aston Villa manager gave his view on the job role following news that Jurgen Klopp uses one at Liverpool.
The German manager actually made the appointment of Thomas Gronnemark back in 2018 – a decision which led to a mixed reaction among fans.
Now Sherwood has given his opinion on Liverpool’s use of a throw-in specialist and makes it clear that he wouldn’t listen to one if he was a player being coached.
Speaking at half-time of Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Norwich on Saturday night, Sherwood said:
Given how well Liverpool have been playing over the last 20 months under Klopp, maybe this sort of attention to detail the German manager gives to his team is working.
Liverpool fans – are you happy with the use of a throw-in coach?
