Agent Says Kristoffer Ajer Will Leave Celtic This Summer

Kristoffer Ajer’s agent believes the Celtic defender will leave the club this summer.

Tore Pedersen represents the Norway international and will be pleased at how influential he has been for the Hoops over the last few years.

Ajer has made 49 appearances for Celtic so far this season, helping them to the Betfred Cup, a 13-point lead in the Premiership, the Scottish Cup semi-finals and the last-32 of the Europa League.

This season could end with him picking up his third treble in a row.

But Pedersen believes it will be his last in Glasgow, with Ajer set to move on in the summer.

Per Sporten, Pedersen said: “He will not extend his contract with Celtic and will leave this summer.

“There are several clubs who are interested, but I can’t go into their names. There are many who have followed him for a long period.”

It will come as no surprise to Celtic fans that Ajer is interesting other clubs, but is it the right time for him to move on?

The 21-year-old defender is approaching the end of his third full season as a Celtic first team player and may still believe he can achieve more with the Parkhead – particularly with the prospect of 10-in-a-row on the horizon.
