Celtic have this evening confirmed players have been told to temporarily suspend taking selfies with fans, whilst Neil Lennon‘s squad also told to stop attending supporter functions, in keeping with Coronavirus Guidance.
As you’ll no doubt be all too aware, sporting institutions and events all over the world are being affected by the outbreak, with Italy suspending its entire Serie A roster until further notice.
Fortunately, there are no impending plans to suspend or play any major events behind closed doors as yet, but the Premiership champions have issued a statement via their official website explaining the precautions currently being taken.
In summary, Celtic have told their first-team squad to limit their appearances at events out-with training and playing duties, and to temporarily avoid interactions such as providing photographs/selfies or autographs.
Hopefully, it won’t be too long before we can all go back to normal, and Hoops fans can once again ask Scott Brown and Odsonne Edouard for a selfie – but what do you think of the implementations?
