Celtic Fans Troll Steven Gerrard by Organising Minute’s Applause Against St Mirren This Weekend

A group of mischievous Celtic supporters are planning to troll their Rangers counterparts and Steven Gerrard this weekend – by organising a minute’s applause against St Mirren.

As we told you earlier in the week, a group of Gers fans took to social media in the build-up to Wednesday night’s clash against Hamilton at Ibrox and asked for a minute’s applause to be held in the eighth minute in Gerrard’s honour, as a way of showing their support for the under-fire boss.

And despite Rangers’ lousy post-Christmas form, the idea was embraced by most of the stadium – before Hamilton went on to spring a shock 1-0 victory.

That result, coupled with Celtic’s 2-2 draw at Livingston, means the Hoops now boast a 13-point lead at the top of the Premiership, and it seems some people want to show Stevie G some tongue-in-cheek appreciation:

We’re not entirely sure if every Celtic fan will go through with this, but we certainly admire the level of shithousery in the idea.

What do you think?
