Fans Plead with Sky Sports to Show Masters Football Whilst Leagues Suspended

Football addicts are having serious withdrawal symptoms today, but some fans reckon Sky Sports’ The Masters could provide the antidote.

As we’re sure you’ll be all too aware by now, the English Premier League, as well as the Scottish Premiership and just about every other major footballing league in Europe, has been suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak, with the authorities trying their best to halt the spread.

It means we’ll be without the English top-flight until April 3 at the earliest, whilst the Scottish football beaks have yet to identify a date when the Beautiful Game will return north of the border.

So, what can we do until everything returns to normality?

Well, some fans are demanding the return of the legendary Masters tournaments, which featured a six-a-side tournament that included all your favourite ex-footballers over 35 from across the country.

Games would be played on beautiful blue pitches across all types of arenas in the UK with the tagline ‘The home of legends’ – which was absolutely fitting.

It hasn’t been shown regularly for a while, but it seems there’s definitely still an appetite for some top-class Masters action:
