Kevin Thomson Responds to Rangers Rumours by Saying Steven Gerrard is ‘Going Nowhere’

Kevin Thomson has responded to social media rumours that he could be about to become an interim coach at Rangers by insisting current manager Steven Gerrard is ‘going nowhere’.

Following last night’s 1-0 defeat to Hearts in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals, Gerrard admitted he needed to take stock of the performance and how he goes forward in his role as Gers boss, leading to speculation in various tabloids, including the Sun, that the Liverpool legend was seriously considering his future in charge of the Glasgow giants.

One rumour that started doing the rounds on Sunday morning was that Gerrard was set to resign, and would be replaced by Thomson and his former team-mate Peter Lovenkrands until the end of the current campaign, but Thomson has put the record straight via his own Twitter account:

Do you think there’s any serious need for Gerrard to be considering his future, and how do you think Thomson and Lovenkrands would do as a potential management team?
