Rangers Fans Planning Minute’s Applause to Show ‘Appreciation’ for Steven Gerrard Tomorrow Night

A small group of Rangers supporters are attempting to organise a minute’s applause during tomorrow night’s game against Hamilton Accies as a way of demonstrating their appreciation for manager Steven Gerrard.

Following Saturday’s Scottish Cup quarter-final exit away to Hearts, a dejected Gerrard admitted he’d have to consider his future at Ibrox, as well as closely scrutinise his methods and his players’ performances.

As we told you earlier today, Gerrard has since met with the media and poured cold water on suggestions he could be about to quit the Glasgow giants but that hasn’t stopped Twitter user Bluepokerstar from organising a show of support for their gaffer.

The proposal is for the home support inside Ibrox to applaud for 60 seconds in the 8th minute of Wednesday’s Premiership clash, in reference to the iconic No8 jersey worn by Gerrard during his playing days:

What do you think of the idea, and do you think these fans will be able to pull this off?
