Coming off the back of going out of the Scottish Cup last week, as well as losing 1-0 at home to Hamilton Accies on Wednesday night, the Ibrox club went to the Highlands knowing nothing less than three points in Dingwall would be acceptable.
They were made to fight and dig deep but, eventually, Ryan Kent found the back of the net and scored the only goal of the game in the 77th minute after his deflected shot evaded goalie Ross Laidlaw.
