Lukas Podolski Says Goodbye To Arsenal Fans With Emotional Instagram Message

Lukas Podolski has finally sealed his move to Inter Milan today and has said an emotional goodbye to the Arsenal supporters on social media.

The German international has spent much of this season on the bench and in an attempt to get more minutes on the pitch, Podolski has decided to move to Serie A.

It has been reported that the former Bayern Munich star has joined Inter on loan, but that is yet to be confirmed by either Arsenal or the Italian club.

Podolski enjoyed a great relationship with the fans at the Emirates and despite his inconsistent performances on the pitch, the Gunners faithful admired him for his positive attitude and cheeky chappie nature.

Podolski has been such an integral part of the Arsenal dressing room since 2012 that some fans are unhappy to see the World Cup winner depart – but it appears the move suits all parties.

Podolski posted this message to his Instagram account this afternoon:

I can’t express in words my gratitude towards Arsenal fans for all they have done for me in my years in London!

Please know my heart always holds a place for you. I’ve loved every minute playing for Arsenal & I hope I have left my mark on the club & fans alike.

Hopefully we shall meet again! COYG #AFC #RedArmy#Fans #Poldi #Gunner #Thanks
